The iPhone SE 2 is a phone that Apple hasn’t announced yet can’t seem to stay out of headlines. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is the person who keeps sharing his expectations for the device, and he’s been at it again. This time, he says it will feature a liquid crystal polymer antenna.
That would allow the phone to have better radio reception than other devices, with Kuo saying that Career Technologies and Murata Manufacturing will be the two companies tasked with making the parts.
That will begin in early 2020, according to the analyst, with the iPhone SE 2 going on sale in the first quarter of the year.
We’ve been hearing a lot about this phone of late. It’s expected to look very similar to an iPhone 8 but with the iPhone 11 internals. That will make it larger than the iPhone SE of yesteryear but its price of around $399 will be welcomed.
Previous reports have the new iPhone coming in 64GB and 128GB configurations with Space Gray, Silver, and Red being the three colors on offer.
Whether any of this turns out to be accurate is something well have to wait a few months to find out. But at this point there is so much smoke that it’s difficult to believe that there isn’t at least a little fire somewhere. Whether the phone will carry the iPhone SE moniker however, we’re not at all sure.
